Lambeth Council – local councillors

Your local Conservative councillors and action teams work all year round for residents across the borough. There are currently six Conservative councillors in Lambeth – Cllrs Shirley Cosgrave, Julia Memery, Clare Whelan and John Whelan.

SHIRLEY COSGRAVE (Clapham Common ward) is the spokeswoman for children and young persons for the Conservative Group. She has been a resident of Clapham Common Ward for 16 years. Shirley is a school governor, clerk of a Clapham-based charity and helps with a local school group.
 
JULIA MEMERY (Clapham Common ward) is deputy leader of the Conservative group and finance spokeswoman who has lived in Clapham for seven years and since 2006 in Clapham Common Ward. She works for a FTSE 100 company in central London and has recently completed an MBA at Imperial College.

CLARE WHELAN (Thurlow Park ward) is the Conservative spokeswoman for the environment and health. She has represented Thurlow Park Ward since 1990 and served as a Cabinet member in the joint administration with the Liberal Democrats 2002-2006. Cllare is a non-executive director of Waste Resources Action Planning (WRAP) and works at the House of Commons.
 
JOHN WHELAN (Thurlow Park ward) is the Conservative Group Leader and has also represented Thurlow Park Ward since 1990. He served as Deputy Leader of the Council in the joint administration with the Liberal Democrats (2002-2006).  John is a professional journalist specialising in the public sector and contributes obituaries to The Daily Telegraph.

    I am looking for Bert Kidd, I used to work for him back in the late 1960′s, I was also best friends with his younger brother Dave.

    Does anyone know if either are still in the west norwood area ?
